Our Happiness Throughout The Pandemic

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

Throughout this past year, MARC’s people served have been making art and using their creativity to get through the tough times. With the guidance of MARC Board Vice Chair Lynn Damon, who is a photographic artist, MARC individuals took photography lessons in the early days of MARC's Virtual Services, using Zoom. In time, MARC staff and volunteers added drawing and painting classes. Many MARC individuals even make their crafts on their own using beads, wood, or yarn. What did you make during the pandemic?

With all this self-expression happening, MARC amassed artwork in a variety of media. We find that the creative process is therapeutic, and so is the act of sharing one's art. This is why we're sharing our art publicly at the South Windsor Public Library on Sullivan Avenue. The art exhibit is titled "Our Happiness Throughout the Pandemic" and will open on August 3rd. An Opening will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and all are welcome. If you cannot make Aug. 3, the exhibit will run through the month of August 2021. Check with the library for hours and directions. https://www.southwindsorlibrary.org/hours.asp
