You might consider Google Chat instead of email for quick back and forths
with your team.
Access this in the left-hand margin of your Gmail inbox (see picture at right).
Use the + sign next to your name to add someone to your chat.
The chatbox will pop up in the bottom right corner of your screen and appear
as below:
