Best. Prom. Ever.
MARC participants had an absolute blast at the Starry, Starry Night Prom held on Friday, May 17, held at East Catholic High School in Manchester. With everyone dressed to the nines in suits, tuxes, and prom dresses, the atmosphere was simply fabulous. DJ Double Dee spun the tunes and had the crowd hopping with help from emcee Carolyn Stephens.
It was a team event in every sense of the word and there are not enough Thank You’s in the universe to possibly express our appreciation to all of those involved. But we’ll try our best…
East Catholic High School and Patrick McLaughlin were our gracious hosts, who also provided volunteers to work the event.
Men's Warehouse and David's Bridal for coupons for prom dresses, tux & suit rental. Formals By Antonio for free rental of tuxedo jackets. Northeast Family Federal Credit Union for sunglasses for everyone. United Bank for sponsoring the photo booth, and Alter Ego Photo Booth Co. for supplying it. DJ Double Dee for the music and light show. ARM Screen Printing for providing t-shirts. Violet Dreams for decorations.
Academy Di Capelli for volunteers, makeup, and hair including supplies. Walgreens for a donation of makeup applicators. Clinique Cosmetics of Buckland Hills Mall and M.A.C. Cosmetics of Buckland Hills Mall for donations of makeup products and applicators.
ShopRite for supplying beverages. Stop & Shop for the cake. A Villa Louisa and Manchester Country Club for pasta. Texas Roadhouse for the rolls with butter. Georgina's Restaurant and Banquets for the Swedish meatballs and stuffed shells. The Main Pub for the salad.
Lastly, but certainly not least of all, several MARC employees, Molly Devanney of Highland Park Market, Kristine Nadvornik-Moulard of Community Voice Channel, and Carol Costello Cavalieri of ERA Blanchard & Rossetto Inc. for volunteering their time. Also, Marsha Kolodziej and Terri Green, who were our seamstresses.
You’re all so very much appreciated. Thank you for making our Starry, Starry Night Prom an unforgettable night!
