Summer Concert Series Fun

It's been a fantastically busy summer here at MARC and we wouldn't trade it for anything. Our Summer Concert Series began on July 16th, with Janie's Dance Party, with a performance by Mass-Conn-Fusion. With their unique blend of R&B, Motown, and Funk music, Mass-Conn-Fusion had the crowd up on their feet and dancing the night away, just as Janie would have wanted it to be.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, will be the second concert of the series, bringing the premier Jimmy Buffett tribute band to the Bill Carroll Memorial Stage. Changes in Latitudes are a popular performance, and the Parrotheads will no doubt be out in force to enjoy the show. The Main Pub will be on hand selling mini pubbers, pulled pork sandwiches and street corn. The Manchester Lions Club will be selling hot-dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks, and Highland Park Market will be bringing their ice cream cart. We'd be remiss if we didn't also mention that our great friends at CAST will also be on hand with a short preview of "Willy Wonka!"

Finally, the last concert of the series will be held on July 30th, as a Salute to Veterans Night, with a performance by Nightshift. We'll be honoring a 101-year-old World War II veteran, as well as other veterans in attendance. It'll be a superb night with great food provided by the Rotary Club of Glastonbury and the Lions Club of Tolland. Don't miss it!
